Join the SJSU King Library for a special exhibit to celebrate the musical traditions and sounds of instruments from South Asian countries \u2014 Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. <\/p>\n

Discover many South Asian instruments like the \u2018rabab\/rubab\u2019 from Afghanistan and its close relative, the \u2018sarod\u2019 of India. Many of these instruments are taught and performed by the South Asian diaspora in Silicon Valley. The \u2018Sounds of South Asia\u2019 exhibit will culminate with a special event on August 24, 2024, on the second floor of the library where local musicians will demonstrate vocal and instrumental music traditions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
